NURTURING OUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

In the spring we get our gardens ready to bloom.  We tend to the soil, plant seeds, water it daily.  We weed the garden and take great care.  We must do the same for our spiritual growth.  Nurture yourself as you would your garden, it takes some time to plan, plant and weed before you see the finished results and enjoy the fruits of your labor. It’s in the planting of the seeds and the careful tending that you see the results you desire.

Take one step at a time, one day at a time. Tune into your environment, and trust that you are exactly where you need to be. Tomorrow is a new day and there will be new places to go and people to meet.  Take the time to see the beauty and the love all around you. The plants, the trees, the water, the land, there is so much to be thankful and grateful for.  Take the time to truly feel your surroundings.  The breeze in your hair, the sidewalk under your feet, the mother and child that walked past you in the opposite direction. Did you smile at them?

Let there be no doubt in the magic of creation.  See the beauty within each soul you encounter along your travels, for within each of you is the spark and beauty of loving light that is the essence of all that is. Cherish that spark of loving light, nurture it and encourage it to grow within each one.  A simple smile goes a long way to make someone’s day a little bit brighter.

Let the beauty within you shine brighter each day, lighting the way for those to follow.
