We are here on this earth for our soul to grow. To do so we are given certain lessons to learn. If we keep making the same mistakes over and over again, obviously we have not learned the lesson. Sometimes we will never know that we just had a life lesson because everything went so smoothly, and we just move on to another lesson. Other times it might take half a lifetime or even several lifetimes to learn one lesson.
Before we come into this world we know ahead of time the experiences we are going to have. In fact we choose the experiences we want to have during the lifetime. However, all this is forgotten when we are born. This is why we do not realize how tough some can be.
When you meet someone for the first time and you seem to have some sort of chemistry, whether you are friends, lovers, business partners etc, this person is often there for a reason. Once the lesson is learned something happens that causes you to part ways so you may move on. Without this you will not grow, you will just stagnate which is not healthy for you.
For an example, if you know someone who is constantly in different relationships, like there is a cloud over their love life, yet you are in a great long-term relationship with someone with whom you have adored for years. You two are good friends; you seem to have hit it off ever since you met this person at work. It just happens that you work together on the same projects, live in the same neighborhood, go to the same gym, etc. in other words you become buddies. Coincidence? There is no such thing as coincidences. All things happen for a reason. This person is probably here to learn a lesson from you.
As long as we are alive we will be learning a lesson. Recently I personally just realized that I am repeating one. I did not quote “learn my lesson” the last time. Fortunately I noticed this in time and am able to now move on. Unfortunately, it was a lot tougher this time around.
You have to listen to your gut, your intuition. That little gnawing feeling you get sometimes in your stomach that tells you when something isn’t right. Ignoring this you are at the mercy of your ego who does not want you to move on. More often than not your intuition is right. If wrong you can use it as a learning experience and believe me you will not make the same mistake again.
Namaste!
