I was reading some astrology websites today when I reached Free Will Astrology.  I often come to read the ‘off the wall’ writings by the author Rob Brezsny.  He writes a weekly horoscope with an expanded version on audio that starts every Thursday, however they are usually posted a day or so earlier. They are not a fluff read.  Every week you come away with a new enjoyable brain exercise.

I came across this as I was reading one of the horoscopes for tomorrow:

“Somewhere there’s a treasure that has no value to anyone but you, and a secret that’s meaningless to everyone except you, and a frontier that harbors a revelation only you would know how to exploit. Why not go in search of those things?”

Wouldn’t this hold true for all of us?

We are all unique.  Whether spiritually, physically or mentally we all have a unique gift.  Whether we have found that gift is the question.  Celine Dion has found her gift as an infamous singer for bringing pleasure to millions of people.  Mother Teresa found her gift of undying compassion for those unable to help themselves in India.  These may be extreme examples, however we all have something in our hearts we enjoy doing and we are good at.

Thinking on this further, we are all one in the universe.  All our gifts are, in essence, to help one another whether you are an entertainer, mentor, teacher, healer, scientist, protector, support worker, companion, intuitive etc…. The list can go on and on.   Imagine the circle of love and light that would happen if we all used our gifts to help (instead of harm) one another around the world. Just Imagine!

As you gather around to give thanks this Thanksgiving maybe stop and give thanks for your special gift.
