Starting out along your spiritual path you will come across several ‘AHA’ moments, the ones where you say ‘I get it!’ Each time you come across one of these ‘light-bulb’ moments you will feel elated; almost lighter. This is your true Self. Your consciousness awakening a little more each time.

Nine Ways to Help  Awaken to Consciousness (your Higher Self)

  1. Live Authentically.  Live by your values. Don’t hide, express yourself and embrace life without reservation.
  2. Start by reading a book on spirituality and Consciousness.   There are so many authors out there now that are very easy to read for beginners, that explore the soul and those that are telling their story.
  3. Speak to someone, or go listen to someone who is doing a talk on a topic about Spirituality or Consciousness.
  4. Learning to meditate or chant can put you on the path to consciousness while simultaneously reducing your stress levels.
  5. Many of you may want to know more about living consciously but are unsure of how to begin. Finding a discussion group – even a virtual one – can help you learn.
  6. Explore some new spiritual paths.  Taking up the practice of yoga, reiki or other alternative modalities also help you along your  path.
  7. Stop and smell the roses.  Just BE.
  8. Slowly eliminate any processed food out of your diet.  You will feel better and it is better for your mind, body and soul.
  9. Give gratitude.  Every day give thanks for what you have right now.  It doesn’t matter if your house is in foreclosure and your car is being repossessed.  Give thanks.

As you awaken more you will find that you really don’t sweat the small stuff.  That you seem to smile more.  You walk with a lighter step.  You have love for all things where before they didn’t mean anything.  There is a wonderment of this world you live in as if you are seeing it for the first time, and you want to share it with everyone.

Oh by the way, stress?  What stress?  This type of love conquers stress.

The more this happens the more peace and love you are filled with.  Giving thanks helps.  It’s letting the Universe know that you like the changes going on, in return the Universe will bless you with much more.

You won’t have any reason to be angry, depressed, irritable, sad etc…. when every day you wake up to this great feeling of  love, peace,  joy and gratitude.  Who would want to?
