Spring is well underway and life in nature is starting to bloom again. Going out into nature is a good way to balance the body, mind and spirit. When you go outside, close your eyes and feel the breeze on your face and body. Be still and listen to the birds and insects. Just Breathe. Especially if life has made you feel a little scattered or chaotic lately, go out in the sunshine, close your eyes and just Breathe. Go feel the grass beneath your feet. Embrace the energy and you will feel much more balanced.
Gardening is very powerful to help you balance and ground yourself. After all you are playing in the dirt. Play is essential for our spirit. Instead of thinking about gardening as work, embrace it. Look at it as a chance to ground yourself and play. Take the time to just BE. Relax and enjoy yourself whether you are weeding or planting, being very ambitious with your first garden or expanding an existing garden. Have fun.
Gardening always makes me feel peaceful. After spending time playing in the dirt, I come in feeling so grounded, as if someone has just taken all my problems away. It is such a wonderful feeling. It is like a sanctuary for me.
Everyone needs their own little sanctuary, whether it is a garden, pond, balcony, or sun room. Somewhere that makes them feel grounded and peaceful, where spending time there helps to take all their cares away. Believe me your body, mind and spirit will thank you.
